Peer Review Policy

JVS (Jurnal Vokasi Saintek) implements a double-blind peer review process, in which both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the evaluation period. All manuscripts submitted to JVS will undergo an initial assessment by the editorial team to ensure relevance to the journal’s scope, adherence to the author guidelines, and compliance with ethical and scientific standards. Only manuscripts that pass this initial screening will be forwarded to external reviewers.

Reviewer Selection

  1. The editorial team assigns the manuscript to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

  2. Authors are encouraged to recommend a minimum of three potential reviewers, including their:

    • Full name

    • Institutional affiliation

    • Area of expertise

    • Email address

  3. The editor reserves the full right to accept or decline the authors' reviewer suggestions and may select reviewers other than those proposed.

  4. Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest before accepting the review assignment.

Peer Review Process

  1. Manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, scientific quality, methodological rigour, relevance, clarity, and contribution to the field of applied sciences and vocational technology.

  2. Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations, which may include:

    • Accept

    • Minor revision

    • Major revision

    • Reject

  3. Manuscripts requiring revision will be returned to authors for improvements, and authors must address all reviewer comments point-by-point.

  4. Revised submissions may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers or by the editorial team.

  5. The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers' recommendations and editorial judgement.

Publication and Proofing

  1. Once a manuscript is accepted, the editorial office will prepare the gallery proof.

  2. The approved proof will be made available online for early view as soon as possible after the author has completed the corrections and the Editor-in-Chief has finalised the proofreading.

  3. The published version will replace the early-view article once it is assigned to a specific issue of the journal.
